TATTOO addiction

mummy woke me up dis morning...cos daddy still lazing in bed...and we were runnin late for work...the only thing i heard mummy saying "my god! ur tattoo is done so low ur sleeves cannot even cover!!"...kinda reminded me i haven informed u peeps of my new tat...

yup yup...me did another tattoo couple of weeks ago...but becos its such a BIG project...it required about 5 to 6 sessions (each session bout 3 hrs) stretched over 2 to 3 months to complete...wonderin wat the hell i did...well...i decided to tattoo my arm (half sleeve - meaning from above my elbow till my shoulder) plus abit of my chest...

Tattoo design : 2 Japanese Koi fishes and 2 Lotus Flowers with maple leaves, waves, blah blah

alot of frens & colleagues asked me if its painful...of cos it painful!!! poking needles into the skin...jus wat r u thinkin?? i mean...helloo....i m human...dun have elephant skin ok...but the pain is definately bearable...no pain no gain...if u wan to look good...thn u jus have to endure!! besides..i have quite a high threshold for pain!! hahaha...

my other 2 tattoos (tribal scorpion on my stomach...tribal panther at my right shoulder blade) were done in Star Tattoo (Bugis)...this new one is done by a super attitude tattoo artist, Derrick...he's doing freelance...has a shop cum home in Beach Road...very cool guy...very talented...does free hand tattoos (no stencils...all designs are thought of and drawn by him directly onto ur skin...there won't b another person wif the same tattoo)...designs and colour r very much decided by him...i mean he's the expert right?? nothing to worry bout cos he guarantees "A" grade tattoos for all his customers...jus leave ur skin to him :)

only problem wif Derrick is : ATTITUDE !!! not many ppl can stand his weird attitude...at least i know danny boy cannot tahan him...and my hairstylist, Andy oso had some unhappy moments wif him...haha...this is super funny!!! cos Andy oso has huge attitude prob...2 attitude prob freaks fighting wif each other...damn funny lah!!! another problem which u may face wif Derrick is : BAD TIME MANAGEMENT !!! cos he's never keepin to appoint time...waited once for him for over 2 hrs man...cos he was havin lunch..dun ask me wat he ate...other thn these 2 problems...Derrick is a super nice person...and i have to admit...i m damn impressed wif his works...

after the 1st session...only outline.....took bout 4 hrs to complete...

after 2nd session...did some black/grey shading...Derrick wanted to test the shading effect on my skin...so only a small portion was done...took bout 2 hrs....

after 3rd session....he decided to add some colour...another 2 hrs job....

so peeps...this is basically the 50% complete tattoo...still have prob 3 sessions to go b4 completion...meanwhile...i really cant wait to see the completed project...hmmm...maybe in a mth's time...hahaha !!!!

Marvin Boy's Wedding - Finale Part

woke up at 7am...got ready...met up wif boy in his suite...but our dear fren is still not ready...ended up tying his tie...thn his brother's tie....thn his dad's tie...talk bout the rich...so spoilt they dun even know how to tie...brother marvin complain havin butterflies in the stomach...now he is startin 2 behave like he's getting married...i mean since he officially annouced to us bout his wedding...never seen his kan chiong....always having the bo chap attitude...his family walked out of his bedroom...in their best dress!!

finally...its time for us to get the bride!!! yippie...but its a little different in Indo...becos there's no gate crash!!! heng ah!!!

whn u receive something good...u have to give something good too...tat's exactly wat boy is practising...giving away ang pows to the little ones...

time to talk bout the Wedding Dinner...OMG!!!! This is like the most grand wedding i have ever attended!!!! Check the ballroom out!

March-in commenced at around 8 plus...most of the guests arrived late cos there was some demonstration (due to the increase in oil price...many unhappy citizens) going on jus outside the hotel...had difficulties tryin to make their way into the hotel safely...ever wondered how the stars felt when they graced the red carpet at the Golden Horse Awards....well....the march-in was exactly how it was...marvin's parents took the lead as they walked down the red carpet...followed by silvia's parents...thn the "brothers & sister" couple by couple (5 pairs in total)...finally our Wedding Couple....wif the amount of photographers and videographers...cant remember the figures becos we were blinded by the amount of flashes from their cameras...and the amount of guests tat were gathered arounf the red carpet jus to catch a glimpse of this romantic and "royal" moment...

something different from SG's customs...after the newly weds cut the cake...they had to feed a piece of cake to their grandparents and parents in gratitude for bringing them up and for their blessings...it was a really emotional moment...Boy cried!!!!! badly!!!! after which the rest...champagne toss...thank-you speech...blah blah blah....were somewhat very familiar to most of us....no different from SG...

i seriously think Boy made a right decision to engage a wedding planner to organise this wedding for him...i mean a wedding so grand...can u imagine planning it urself??? not forgettin the 1,500 guests tat attended the wedding...during dinner...this is how it looked like...remind u of Expo Food Fair....

princess and I could hardly get any food wif tat crowd!!! but whatever it is....it was really the most magnificant wedding i have ever attended...i m sure all the guests present tat night would agree wif me....so once again...

CONGRATS TO MARVIN & SILVIA....many happy moments ahead !!!!

Marvin Boy's Wedding - Part II

woke up at 9 plus...went for good buffet breakfast at the coffee house...sausages, hashbrowns, sunny side-ups, waffles, cerels wif blueberry yogurt & strawberries...and a hot cup of coffee.. good start to a day!!! the one thing i luv bout JK...u get to smoke in air-con areas...POWER sia!! next up on our itininery...SHOPPING....woohoo!!! our hotel is connected to Plaza Indonesia...went to most of the branded shops...only window shopping cos we r saving up for our wedding :(

went to the bank to withdraw $$ for boy's red packet...forgot to do tat in SG!!! thn went supermarket to look for GingerBon gummies...request from colleagues...but they dun have it!!! Damn!!! oso walked around to look for Polo shop...again request...but from Danny boy and Tereave...sad to say...we couldn locate the shop...by the time we are done walking round in circles...princess and I were freezing cold...obviously cos we were in shorts...and the air-con in the mall was SUPER COLD!!! so we went into Zara and got ourselves a sweater each...hahaha...so much for saving $$...but bo pian...damn cold...

we took a walk across the road to the shopping mall jus opposite our hotel...Grand Indonesia...super big can??? if u think VIVO City is big...this mall is like 5 times the size...we decided to start from the top most level and shop our way down....SURPRISE!!! every level was based on a different theme...dun believe...check out the pics we took...

by the time we r done shopping...our stomachs were cryin out "HUNGRY"...so we headed back to Plaza Indo...each time i m in JK...i have to eat my all-time favourite...MIITEM...squid ink pasta...taste super good...

time to head back to hotel for a afternoon nap...pig right??? hahaha.....tats becos we had to wait for boy to pick us up and we were tired from all the shopping....Boy only came in the evening...brought us out to ITC...where we bought super alot of DVDs...woohoo!!! so happy!!! only S$1 per piece...but need to worry how 2 bring 'em back to SG w/o getting caught...arggh!!! worry bout tat l8r...cos we r going to have seafood dinner wif Boy's family & frens...yum yum!

wif our stomachs filled...time to head back to the hotel...need to get some rest for tomolo's BIG DAY...not mine of cos...

Marvin Boy's Wedding - Part I

miss me??? huh huh huh??? sorry i was super super busy wif work & personal life...alot of problems to handle...wasn't in the right mood to blog...but now i m back :)

was in Jakarta over the weekends for Marvin boy's wedding!!! so much so much to update..which is y i have broken this up into 3 parts...bear wif me ok...jus very excited to share wif u peeps bout his wedding...

first, congrats Marvin & Silvia on your wedding!!! It was simply spectat...no words to describe...jus a smashin wedding!!! so now for the cover story...

princess and I flew over to JK on fri nite...str8 to the airport after work...flight was delayed cos the aircraft was late in arrival..plus the inefficient immigration officers...and the slow handling of our baggage...poor boy had to wait for us for a long time...anyway...we headed to the hotel...GRAND HYATT JAKARTA...this is my 3rd trip to JK but the 1st time i am put up at a hotel (stayed at boy's condo previous 2 trips)...kinda excited...but at the same time super shagged after a hard day's work and delays from the flight...decided to retire early for the next day...took some pics of the hotel room...enjoy!!
